Moves That Matter
Risk leadership for humanitarian and global development professionals

Practical risk training for real-world global development decisions

Explore defensible decisioning when the stakes are high and information is incomplete

Build judgement you can apply anywhere – across programs, organisations and contexts
Not your usual risk training
Funding. Artificial Intelligence. Climate. Seemingly impossible trade-offs. In our complex and ambiguous space, risk is too often managed defensively, not strategically. Decisions can be compliance driven, not impact focused. Risk aversion comes at the cost of impact.
Moves That Matter is a high-impact, in-person learning experience for humanitarian and global development leaders. It complements existing risk frameworks, focuses on behaviours, not theory, and simulates real pressures, constraints and situations. Participants learn with and from cross-sector peers.
The day is built around 8 Moves – collections of behaviours and techniques that support you in ambiguous situations to cut through uncertainty, collaborate more effectively, navigate trade-offs and help close the gap between compliance and lived realities.
Encounter the Moves that cut through ambiguity, foster collaboration and unlock better, defensible decisions
