Fanny Coussy

MERL Senior Leader

Fanny brings 14 years of expertise in Monitoring Evaluation Research Accountability and Learning (MERL), including 8 years as an advisor for DFAT development and humanitarian programs. This includes continuous technical support for the Australian government’s multi-year humanitarian investment in Bangladesh and Myanmar and under an MEL support unit for the Australian Embassy’s development program in Laos. Fanny has extensive experience applying gender equality and social inclusion, localisation and peacebuilding frameworks through her lead of various research activities during her 6 years working with Humanitarian Advisory Group (HAG) as a Senior Leader. Highlights from Fanny’s work include cash assistance; disability inclusion; accountability to affected populations; a review of the Australian Red Cross’ Protection, Gender and Inclusion work and the final evaluation of the Pacific Community ‘Progressing Gender Equality in the Pacific’ project. Prior to moving to Australia in 2020, Fanny worked as a project manager and consultant based in Timor-Leste, Iraq and Laos where she developed a passion for finding practical solutions to complex issues.
