Developing people
Purpose begins with people
We’re passionate about experiences that learners love, and content that they remember

We’ve all been there. Hot training rooms with endless, text-heavy slides, pointless by-the-numbers ‘discussion exercises,’ and forgettable content. Online ‘learning’ that’s little more than regurgitated policy. Trainers who teach, not engage. Cost is often given as a reason for accepting lower quality but that’s a false economy – if the training is forgettable, it may as well not have happened at all.
Great training doesn’t have to be expensive to be well-designed and well-facilitated. Oli May has delivered workplace learning for 20 years throughout Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He knows that the attention spans of workplace learners are dropping, time is becoming more valuable, and people want to consume learning in more diverse ways.
Some of our design principles: six keys to lifelong learning

The magic of story
Stories hold attention further and stay longer in the memory. That means sharing experiences, case studies and fictionalised scenarios.

Clear objectives
Great training keeps what it’s trying to do simple, and uses time wisely: Short on teaching, long on engagement and practicing. That’s the key to training that changes you.

Be relevant and relatable
Busy workplace learners tune out or forget things that don’t clearly relate to their roles. That means making sure the link is obvious.

Prioritise behavioural change
Do people need to known those detailed legal cases, policy principles or statistics? Really? We focus on how you need your learners to behave afterwards, not on filling their heads with forgettable facts.

Go beyond the classroom
What you learn on Friday is gone by Monday – unless you include exercises, products and techniques to bring it into the workplace.

Leverage human factors
Did you know there’s research to support using stick-up notes rather than screen-based collaboration platforms? We use behavioural science to design our learning interventions for maximum impact.
